remove the cap and try pressing directly on the switch to see if you can reproduce the issue
it double taps the input when you hold the button or on a quick press?

it intermittent worked fine yesterday now doing it again. it sometimes flickers when i push down slowly and on hold nothing. works fine for awhile and then a few presses acts funny or not at all then works again after a few presses.
